Battle for the Southern Frontier is one of the first audiobooks to be made available to the blind and the visually
impaired through a special program at the Columbus (GA) Public Library. Co-author Mike Bunn is narrator. The
program utilizes the state-of-the-art Country’s Barbecue Recording Studio at the Columbus Public Library to produce
digital recordings of books involving Alabama and Georgia history that are currently not available to these patrons.
The recordings meet the guidelines of the Library of Congress’ National Library Service for the Blind and Physically
Handicapped. The studio is operated by staff and volunteers of the Columbus Library for Accessible Services
(CLASS). For more information, please visit or call 706-243-2686.
